HAppy Mother's Day!!!

I feel so blessed to be a MOther, Much less a mother to TWO beautiful, healthy girls! They bring so much joy to my life. I love every second of every day because they are here. Yesterday we went shopping and had lunch with my MOther in law. The girls decided that they did not want to go home with Mommy and that they would rather stay the night with Grandma. So, I went home and cleaned my booty off ! Did things like strip and Mop the kitchen floor and clean the bathroom, which are things that I am unable to do while they are here. This morning, I woke up with Massive cramps and have been super emotional- FYI- Not a good thing to get your period on Mother's day - talk about a basket case. Anyhow, I took a hot bath and when I got out, I had two messages. I listened to them in tears! Ayla was saying she loves me and Happy Mother's day. I will never delete the messages! I have to say, it was the best gift of all !! I love my girls!

Scale?

I really need to buy a scale. I am very hesitant because I do not want to get discouraged. I have been doing so great on my diet and exercising. I took ONE day off because my husband is a bad influence and wanted to take me out for chinese. But, that was the ONLY thing I ate all day. I have been keeping a "food journal" of everything I eat and the calorie content. It really helps me. I am hoping I have lost some. I can see little changes in my body. I Know I have lost maybe some inches? The Leslie Sansone 3 mile walk away the pounds DVD is no joke! I find myself covered in sweat and beat red by the end of the 45 minute work out... Oh yeah, Did I mention that everynight I also feel as though my thighs are going to crumble? It really works. Not only is it good for cardio, but you use weights, so it helps shape your upper body as well. I use 3lb weights, which have to be doing something with all the arm movements she has you do. It has gotten a little easier to get through now that I have been doing it for 2 weeks, but it still challenges me, which I like! Let's hope that I see results soon!! So, the question is... purchase a scale or not?

Little of this, Little of that....

It has been Hotter than ever here in Pearsall, TX! We are really in for one HOT summer! Again, I say Thank goodness to not being pregnant! I was pregnant for two summers in a row and looks like this summer is not going to be as mild as the last few years have been! It was already 102 and it is only MAY!!
The house. . .. Things are crusing slowly, but hopefully everything will come together and we will start the building process within the next couple of weeks. Hard trying to fit everything in on Thomas's days off. We still have a few items to get together for the lender- pay stubs, w2s... things like that. We will get it done! In the mean time, Here is a picture of the front of the house and a photo of the floorplan ( Before any upgrades.) We are so excited for this next step in our lives! The community is awesome! Has a great playground, workout room, pool, basketball court, 3 mile walking trail!! I am so excited for myself and my girls! They are going to love all the space in the new home- after living in this coop for months!!
The girls are growing up WAY too fast! Ayla will be 3 in three months! Gosh, where does the time go? Then comes little Miss Hailyn's second birthday. I am kind of freaking out- My babies are not so much babies anymore!!! They are such good girls! I am truly a blessed woman to have such wonderful and beautiful kids. I wish I could have 10 more!! :) Going to try and get to the park today. It is overcast, so praying the slides are not scorching hot!!

Pictures, Pictures and more pictures!

So tired!
Look at my messy girl!
Easter Fun! The easter Bunny brought her a fun new bubble toy! She Loves bubbles more than anything- She does so great blowing them on her own.
Cute little Bunnies!!
Ayla and her thumb!
"Uh Oh!!"
Reading Mommy her book.
Did not take the girls long to figure out that you could eat the playdough. Ayla plays so well with "normal" Playdough, but her sister on the other hand insists on eating anything having to do with arts and crafts.. So I found this recipe for edible playdough. They both inhaled it!They played with it as well :) It is just peanut butter, Powdered sugar and honey- simple enough!
Yum!!!
She did so well with it.
Our Little "cook." She tells me all the time what she is Baking. Most of the time she makes macaroni and cheese or a cake!
I hope you enjoy the pictures! Been hard for me to post since our computer is in our bedroom. And with two little toddlers running around, it makes it hard to post anything--- Will try and figure out a time to do it, like now, when they are BOTH sleeping, which I should be doing as well!
GOodnight!!

Change of Plans. . .

We have changed our minds about the house that was mentioned in my previous post. We have decided to go with a differnet home- a one story, completely different area of san antonio, wonderful neighborhood... Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly. We will be building just like we had planned for the previous mentioned home. We are in love with this house and it just feels right- unlike the other one did, so we backed out. As for things around the Haskins Household.... Things are pretty much normal... same ol'. Our Easter was wonderful. Thomas had the morning with the girls and I. The Easter Bunny came and knocked on the door, which really excited the girls! Once Thomas went to work, the girls and I headed to Thomas's Mom's house to enjoy some family time. The girls got to hunt for eggs outside, which was a blast for them. All in all, it was a great Easter. I will post some pictures later.. I have yet to download them to the computer. I am amazed at how fast the time flies. I am a little sad. My babies are not so much babies anymore. Ayla tells me how it is and Hailyn is a little Monster :) Then I think about all the fun stages I have yet to look forward to and it excites me! There is so much still ahead and I feel so blessed to have two amazing daughters and a wonderful Husband. I find myself anxious to have another, but the timing is not right. We will wait until this time next year to even discuss it. We are considering putting the girls in preschool once we move. I hope and pray to find a part time job while they are at school... Something from 9am-2. Thomas and I both feel that they are to the point where they need interaction with other children THEIR age! I really think they will love it. They love kids... Plus, it is a learning enviornment, not just a daycare. I would love to have a little office job- secretarial, something!!! Bring in some extra spending money... you know? I hope it all works in our favor. I will post some pictures later tonight. Update: I have been doing my walking tape for almost 2 weeks now and feel great!!! It is a definite WORK OUT!!! :) Wish me luck! I hope to lose some major pounds... have not seen much loss... tightening, yes, which is better than nothing! Hopefully once I reach my goal, I will have some awesome before and after photos to post :)

Weight-Loss Here I come!!

I am OFFICIALLY on diet and workout plan today. I had bought a diet from Arbonne a few weeks ago and just never started it - stupid I know. It is to supplement with a shake for one or two meals, whichever you prefer and it came with fizzy drink which is supposed to give you energy and supress your appetite in between meals. I also have yummy chocolate chews that are designed to do the same thing as the drink, but also is supposed to crave that sweet tooth that we all know I have :)
I am going to do my 3 mile workout tape every day--- right after the kiddos go to bed is my plan!
Wish me luck!!
I am getting so excited about buying our first house!! It will take 3-5 months to build.. we are in the VERY beginning stages. Have not figured out financing as of yet. They want us to go with their "people" But Thomas wants to check with his union first with the Border Patrol. He hears they are really great! So, fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly!
This is the house we are building. It is a Fieldstone home- The one we have chosen is a little different on the outside, but you get the general idea.

Embarrassing...

It is ridiculous how long it has been since I have posted. I am hoping ( Fingers Crossed) To at least blog weekly. I am going to commit to it!! I need to give out the blog address to more friends and family so they can keep up with what is going on with us as well.
As for what is new... Thomas Loves his new job as a border patrol agent! The hours are crazy and sometimes very long, but he at least gets 2 days off during the week, which is really nice. He is close to finishing up the FTO program, which he is really excited for. The girls and I are very proud of him.
As for me, I am still working on the weight loss. Has not been as easy as the first lbs to shed. I guess having the girls so close together was tougher on my body than I thought. I am struggling to shed the pounds, but know that it will happen. I have kicked it into high gear starting today. Wish me luck!
I still stay at home with the girls; which I would not trade for the world :) For right now, we are cramped in a 2 bed. apt. It is a little tough, but the end is in sight. We are actually in the process of buying our first home!! YAY!! We are going to build, so it will be a good 4-5 months before we are able to move in. But, we will be back in San Antonio... YAY!!!
Hailyn Grace- She is a rough and tumble girl! I always say she should have been a boy. She is into everything, climbs, jumps off of the couch head first. She does not talk a lot.. says many words... but most of the time, she speaks her own language. She loves to copy whatever her older sister is doing. Loves to be outside playing. Adores the swing! She is a lover though! She loves her baby dolls and taking baths.
As for Ayla Marie She is now completely potty trained! Yay!! She is such a big girl. I am so proud of her. She speaks as if she is a 5 year old. Tells me like it is, that is for sure. She is a lot more sensitive than her sister. Loves everything girly. She too loves to be outdoors more than anything else. She loves to sing and dance around the house. She prefers country as her sister prefers something with a little more beat so that she can dance ! It is really fun to watch them together!
I cannot believe how fast the time flies! They are already 1 1/2 and 2 1/2. Seems like yesterday that Thomas and I were planning a wedding.. and now we have two gorgeous girls and are about to buy our first home!

Gosh, I have not posted in quite a few months- sorry all. I am getting bad at keeping up with everything- My girls keep me busy!!
We went to see Thomas in New Mexico and had a really great visit. The girls and I are very, very proud of him. He graduated!! Yay!!! He has to stay for the Spanish course though, which will end on the 30th of December. We have not worked out the details of the Holidays yet, but we do know that it is important to be together- Where we are is not important.
I found us a really nice apartment in Pearsall, Texas. Which is only 25 miles or so from Cotulla where Thomas is stationed. We will be moving in a couple weeks--- not sure on the exact date as they are having some issues with the current tenats. I am getting excited, nervous and sad all at the same time. Excited because it is a new adventure... nervous because it will be a new town... new people, new surroundings, and sad because we are leaving the only house our kiddos have ever known. I know it will be an adjustment for all of us, but it will be a good thing. I am just so ready to move on and for us to be all settled in the new place.
Hailyn is 13 months old! And Ayla is already 2!! I cannot believe it. She is a little chatter box. Talks and talks... Hailyn says a few words... "Daddy, Mommy, Spongebob... What's that, that, eyes. . . etc" She tries to say everything that you say. She wants to do EVERYTHING her sister does. . . They are just so funny together. Sometimes they fight, but most of the time they play nice together. It is so great to see them playing together. They are going to be the best of friends! So excited for what the future holds for our little family.
I cannot believe it is already November 3rd!!! Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I can only pray that we will be moved in by then. I hate the inbetween stages of moving! I just want to get it over and done with! I am going to have to enlist a bunch of helpers--- family be READY!! Ughhh! Maybe THomas will come home for the weekend... who knows. . .
I promise to update more! :)
Here are some pictures from the past few months- I will try and be better at this--- I cannot believe it has been so long- darn.

Nap time!!
Things have been pretty hectic around the Haskins household lately. Grandma Judy, my MOm, was here for 2 weeks staying with us from Minot, Nd... then, Uncle Jordan got into a car accident and broke his femur and he has now been with us for a couple weeks. Within a week of my Mom going back to Nd, my brother got into the accident. So, we have had no down time really between the two. I have been taking care of my two girls plus my brother as well. Talk about work! :) There is just no time to do much.... I feel like all I do is clean and I look around and my house is still a disaster. I heard a saying once... " CLeaning your house while your children are growing is like shoveling snow while it is still snowing." and man, is that the truth!! Other than the hecticness of things, nothing is too new. The girls are growing like weeds. Hailyn is a little copy cat- she is so developed for her age- so smart. She copies everything her sister does. I seriously think she is going to be an early walker as well. She is a little smarty pants. For instance, when you say no, she will shake her pointer finger at you- so cute!! She eats table food, no more baby food, expect for the baby oatmeal and the graduate (t0ddler) meals. She is way ahead of the game. She is 23 lbs and 32 inches long. 95th percentile for weight and 110th for height. She is going to be VERY tall like her Daddy. AS for Ayla, she is speaking in full sentences. The other day, she grabbed my tennis shoes out of the closet and handed it to me saying, " Mommy, put it on." It was the cutest thing ever! She is so smart. She repeats everything that we say. Her new thing is " Oh shoot!! " I am glad that she says shoot instead of you know what! SHe is scared of bugs at the moment- changes from day to day... she yells.. " Oh bug!! Oh bug!! " So funny!! She is my little chatter box, always has been. I guess what can you expect from a baby whom at 10 months was crawling around saying " what, what!! " She is so beautiful! I am so proud to be the mother of two fantastic girls! We are getting very anxious to find out where, when, if... we are moving. I am so ready to just know, but definitely NOT ready for my husband to be gone for 3.5 months! that part is really going to be sad for my girls! It is for the better- I have to keep reminding myself of that.
Enjoy the pictures!
